There is no doubt that summer is gone, and as the weather gets cooler most people put away their hiking boots and prepare for Ontario’s long winters, but not you... There are still a few weeks before Jack Frost rolls around and transforms forests roaring with colour into white wastelands, and you’re not going to let this opportunity slip by! So put on some thick socks, fill up your thermos and take a hike through Rattlesnake Point before the trees retire their leaves for the season.
Rattlesnake Point is the perfect destination for a casual social gathering with friends! With beautiful sightseeing of the vibrant fall colours on the escarpment’s thousand-year-old cedars this time of year, exploring the various trails will truly take your breath away! Located under an hour away in Milton, Ontario, activities at Rattlesnake Point include hiking, fishing, picnics and of course, bonding with your closest friends!
Rattlesnake Point is also one of the most popular destinations for rock climbing. If you really want a challenge, you can rock climb the face of the limestone cliffs. Lastly, if you stay late enough during the day, you will be able to see a beautiful sunset over all of the fall colours. One more tip: Don’t forget to bring out your camera!
Rattlesnake Point offers 17 campsites, with the ability to host a group of 6 or a group of 60 (now that would be a party!). Each one of these campsites contain a fire pit and a picnic table, but it's up to you to bring the goods. To learn more about camping at Rattlesnake Point, click here.
